ABC Place

ABC Place is an upmarket shopping centre located off Waiyaki Way is Westlands. The centre has a greengrocer, a coffee house, butchery and a cocktail lounge, as well as Chandarana Supermarket.

The Capital Center

The Capital Center along Nairobi's Mombasa Road is home to Uchumi supermarket, as well as several jewelry, clothing, book and flower shops, a food court and a Fox Cinema. The shopping centre hosts the Maasai Market on Wednesdays.

The Junction

The Junction, located on Ngong Road, is a social hub for many Nairobi locals and ex-pats. The shopping mall has Kenyan made designer goods, specialty sports shops, jewelry, nutrition, book and music shops, two coffee shops with free wireless, a two-screen cinema, a food court and Nakumatt supermarket.

The Prestige Plaza Mall

The Prestige Plaza Mall is located on Ngong Road, featuring dozens of shops and eateries, three banks, a 24-hour Nakumatt and two cinemas. It is estimated that within peak periods, the mall sees over 3/4 of a million visitors per month.

The Sarit Centre

Opened in 1983, the Sarit Centre was among the pioneers of the Kenyan shopping mall concept. It is located in Westlands, 3 km. from the city centre. Sarit offers 250,000 sq. ft. of leased space on six levels, providing a controlled tenant blend of supermarkets, shops, service outlets, offices and entertainment. A two-screen, 300-seat cinema, a health club with swimming pool and a 1,500 sq. ft. food court are surrounded by cafes and an international exhibition centre. Shopper traffic averages 20,000 daily and peaks at over 40,000 daily on December 24.

Supermarkets

Nakumatt, Tuskeys, Uchumi and Chandarana supermarket chains are available throughout the city and offer a wide range of products from food to clothes to furniture.

T Mall

Nairobi's newest shopping centre, T Mall is situated on Langata Road. Tuskeys supermarket serves as the anchor store for this mall.

Village Market

Located in Nairobi’s Gigiri suburb, Village Market shopping and recreation complex features more than 150 shops, restaurants and services. The complex has a water park, mini golf course, 12 bowling lanes, a four-screen Silverbird theatre, health club, children's playground and an international food court. Other facilities include Forex, seven banks and ATMs, a pharmacy and supermarket, as well as various local and international travel operators. Every Friday the Village Market hosts the Maasai Market, with over 350 craftsmen and artisans selling their work.

Westgate Shopping Mall

Located off Ring Road in Westlands, Westgate Mall covers 350,000 sq. ft. of specialty retail space. The mall has more than 80 stores and boasts a unique decor. The tenant group is a mix of internationally known brands from clothing to jewelery to fragrance shops. Westgate Shopping Mall has a Silverbird Cinema complex and media store, with a six-screen movie theatre. The mall also houses a 110,000 sq. ft. Nakumatt Superstore. Services offered at Westgate include dry-cleaning, pharmacy, casino, optometrist, kid’s corner, Forex, beauty salon, photo studio, courier services, as well as several banks. The mall hosts the Maasai Market every Tuesday.

Yaya Centre

Located 5 km from the City Centre in Hurlingham suburb of Nairobi, Yaya Centre is a multifunctional shopping mall housing more than 100 shops and offices. Among the products and services are key cutting, laptop buying, shoe repairs, banking, leisure and beauty, fashion, housewares, groceries, butcher and pharmacy. The food court offers a variety of selection from Indian to Chinese to Italian and other cuisines. Most shops are open till 4 p.m. on Sundays and 7 p.m. on weekdays. Yaya Center hosts the Maasai Market every Sunday.
